Hi ! I am back here once! This is the last entry! Actually, I has historically been considered the "Cradle of Chinese Civilization". I am depressed to tell you the bad things that I did. But believe me, I did not did it deliberately. Actually, in China, major floods in me generally have catastropic agricultural, economic and social impact. My flood occurred between July and November 1931. Estimates of the number of people killed in the flood generally range from 1 to 2 million. Figures have shown about 1 million people died of drowning. Some listed that the number of people killed summed up to be as high as 4 million. I also left 80 million people homeless. I am just so sorry for causing this disaster. I know it is kind of late to apologise but i am just so sorry.

I am back!!! :D
Well, i am back on my new entry! Being the second largest river in China after Yangtze river, and the sixth-longest river in the world estimated length of 5,464 kilometres, i might say i am very honoured. I also flow through NINE provinces of China and empties myself in the Bohai sea. (i am very busy!!) Do you know how my name was originated? Well, my name Yellow River decribes the perennial ochre-yellow colour of the muddy water in the lower course of me. The yellow colour comes from the loess suspended in the water. Sometimes, people named me 'muddy flow' because maybe only pigs can fly when i can flow clear! I will always be muddy! My name is facinating huh? So that's me and i will write in in the next entry! Wait for the next entry!

New Flows
Hi! I am back! Shall we continue on my entries? Yes! So, when I was formed due to the movement of the crust. The crust move up and break to form a gap between it. The lakes which formed earlier around me joined together and formed a river. Before the formation, the crust which the river located is lower than 1000m. After the formation, is about 247 million years ago, the crust moves up to 2000ms and above the sea level. Thus, the I am formed. As i carried a lot of sediments every year, thus, floodplain formed in many parts of the river. I provided a big area which are ideal place for farming. I continous to flow along the channel and I pass by dry pieces of land, but soon to be fertile, as my water will make them. I see tiny, wooden huts created by the commoners or pheasants in the villages I pass. Some of them collect pieces of me, and others splash around me, washing their dirt and filth away in my clear body.
I pass some trees, and their roots absorbs my water into themselves, causing yet another part of me to be lost.Though it is saddening to lose some part of me, if i look at the positive side, i am actually helping the enviroment because by letting the trees to take my water in, it makes them grow healtily and i am helping the environment in another way or two!!! Oh no!!! It is getting late now and i must got to go and empty myself!!
Remember to check back again in my next entry!!!! Goodbye!!!

Intro
HI! I am the Hwang River. I am located in China. Let me introduce myself, I am the second largest river in China and the fifth longest in the world! I decided to create this blog because I want to expand YOUR knowledge on me, The Hwang River. :D I am nicknamed as 'cradle of Chinese Civilization'. Do you know why? It means that the Chinese Civilization started near my body. In another words, I am OLD. In fact, I am still present now. I was 'borned' in year 602 BC. I have been developing over years just like human.
I've been experiencing changes since i was 'borned'. Most of the time, it is due to the sediments. Large amount of loess carried by me and it will be deposited along the bottom of the river's canal. Overtime, a natural dam is formed. Eventually, the enormous amount of waters have to find a new way to the sea. This is when a flood occurs in a new valley. I hate flooding! It is always unpredictable. It also cause difficulty to farmers :( I am 5464 metre long and need to travel nine province in order for me to reach the sea, Bo Sea. I could flow at the speed of 1774.5m2/s, see, that is how fast I am! Impressed? My body shape is like a chinese character "ji" (几). I produces a lot of fishes. This provided food for those people who liver near me. I am well respect by the chinese, they call me "Hwang River Mother. See, here it is.
